Dear All,
It has been brought to my attention that there have been list-serv posts and other communications professing knowledge about the specifics of UUP's negotiations with the State. A recent and widely circulating list-serv post contained inaccurate and incomplete information about health benefits provisions in other bargaining unit contracts as well as false assertions regarding UUP's negotiations. No individuals outside of UUP's Negotiations Team have knowledge of or accurate information about UUP's ongoing negotiations with the State. Please understand that comments about negotiations made by anyone other than UUP President Phil Smith or me are purely speculative.
UUP's Negotiations Team will continue its efforts to secure a contract that meets the needs of UUP members. We will continue to post general information about the negotiations process at www.uupinfo.org.
