The New York State/United University Professions Joint Labor/Management Committees is pleased to announce that the Dr. Nuala McGann Drescher Leave Program is now available for the Spring 2026 and Fall 2026 semesters.
- The application deadline for the Spring 2026 semester is: October 1, 2025
- The application deadline for the Fall 2026 semester is: March 1, 2026
The Drescher award authorizes the campus to release the applicant from all duties other than completion of their Drescher project.
A Campus commitment of financial contribution of a minimum of 20% of the cost of salary for a replacement for the duration of the leave and a minimum of 20% of the total project or activity expenses, if applicable.
Applicants should read the Dr. Nuala McGann Drescher Leave Program Guidelines for information on eligibility and the application process prior to applying. Chief among the requirements is that applicants commit to returning to their campus after their leave in accordance with the sabbatical leave policy in the SUNY Policies of the Board of Trustees.
