Guest Speaker: Samantha Winter, MA
Ms. Winter will cover topics such as: What is gender-based violence and sexual harassment, how to respond if a student or co-worker discloses to you, reporting options, and other resources available. She will also discuss domestic violence since co-workers may notice red flags of relationship violence.
Samantha Winter, MA is the Complainant Navigator which allows her to provide confidential support and resource options to students, faculty and staff who experience sexual or interpersonal violence. Samantha graduated with her B.A. and M.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Samantha trained as a NYS Rape Crisis Counselor through VIBS, a local rape crisis center, and volunteered with them for four and a half years.
